Hi everyone, I am running Wizardry 8 and I am looking for more people who could be interested in running this great game. Over the last half a year, with the help of several other players who provide a lot of help but do not run themselves, I have reduced it to 2 hours (you can check the runs on youtube/biogoo).
I would love to see the game done even faster, and I know it is very possible. One great way to do that would be to find someone who can actually control their mouse properly, not like me:) And more runners means more challenge too, of course.
So if you like RPGs, if you like making strategic decisions in combat that is never the same between playthroughs, if you dont mind a certain degree of randomness... make sure to check it out!

Dude I have wanted to route this forever! Have you found a better way to capture it other than a full monitor capture?

Also what do you do about the movies that play?
I play in windowed mode (simply add " /windowed" to the launch properties) and then resize the window to my liking. There are several problems with windowed mode, like auto-minimize when not active and also some 3D settings might cause problems with movement, but as you can see it can be solved (I use openGlide and software rendering, should work on every PC even though it may not look so nice as other modes). I believe the movement problems in windowed mode are cause by V-Sync, so there might be other solutions, but who knows.
I then use OBS to capture part of the monitor that includes the game window and a time tracker. It seems to be the only option in OBS that works.

About the movies, well, they do cause some troubles as they always play in full screen, but as there are no movies during the game, just intro and outro when you dont have the control of your party, simply deleting all the movie .BIK files (or moving/renaming them) solves that issue. They can be skipped anyway, so why bother with them.

Awesome I'll try messing with my setting and see if I can get it more practical. Gonna delete the .BIK files as that brief moment it flicks to full screen and back again is annoying.  Likely spend the weekend studying your route, I assume there's vods on your channel?

If another party composition would be used, another route might fit better.

I am trying to repeat the route on ironman mode now, not doing any changes otherwise for a while. But if I should suggest at least some change, I would make the casters faeries. The faster mana regen on resting does add up and the HP deficit doesnt really matter.

Do you have any place in internet where I could eventually find your videos?

Dude that is awesome. Here I thought it was going to be like a 6-8 hr run. So glad you're working on this.
