Hey there,

I´d like to submit two segmented speedruns and got a few questions regarding that.

I already rendered both runs with Yua in XQ. Is it okay to submit a single video for each run with all segments appended or do I need an individually video for each segment or each mission (it´s a game with individual levels but also one or two quicksaves in each level)? And do I need to re-render the original avi-file to get LQ, MQ and HQ, which would take a really long time, or could I just render the XQ mp4-file again, since I just want to decrease file size and video quality? Also, is IQ neccassary for submission?

Thanks in advance.
Thread title:
IQ is not necessary and you can append all segments of a run into one file.

About encoding LQ/MQ/HQ from XQ: I just tested it myself real quick, comparing a HQ encode from the original to a HQ encode from a XQ encode. I don't see much of a difference in the quality, after all XQ is kind of close to the original and of course has the same aspect ratio.
So unless there are some deeper technical problems possible, I see nothing wrong with going that way.
