I got a 58:27. I'll upload it later. How do you put the video instead of just the link?

Sick!

Click the hyperlink button down in that row of buttons where you can mess with the text of your post and stuff, then put the video's web address between the the boxes it gives you.

It ends up looking like  [ url ] yourvideo.youtube.com [ /url ]  but without the spaces (and using a real url).

Hey guys,

I just finished up a segmented run of the game on Impossible difficulty.

I just now finished the recording the final segment, and the final run should clock in below 1:01:00 (one hour, one minute).  Once I finish editing the segments together I'll have a better estimate of the final time.

I found a few pretty cool tricks during the run.  Most of them are only applicable to segmented runs of the game, but there's a handful of stuff that will be useful even in the single segment runs.

I'll try and get some videos up here of the new stuff that I found over the next week or two.
Awesome! Looking forwards to watching it once it (after a decade) makes it into public verification. On the other hand seeing as there's a few runners + me maybe it won't need the public.
Almost finished editing together the segmented impossible run.  Here's a little thing I found.  Pretty much a segmented only strat.  Not entirely...but pretty much.  It saves like....2-3 seconds over the standard route.  Any questions, let me know.

Once I finish the editing, writing the notes, and submit the run I'm going to record a commentary for the youtube upload.  Hopefully.
No reason why you can't include the commentary as a second audio track in the submission too.
I might include a commentary track on the submission upload, but my plan is to got through the run and do some commentary with the dudes that helped with me with the run and get pretty detailed into the different skips/tricks.  There will be pausing, rewinding, etc during the video to highlight the different strats.  It will end up being much longer than the length of the run.

I've finished putting the segments together so I'll hopefully have the notes written and submit within the next week.  Here's a cool thing that was found during the run.  You can clip through force fields using quicksave/quickload.

I dont know if I've posted this skip here before.  If I have, my apologies.  I dont know why the video thumbnail isn't showing up...  : /

The plan is to do the long-version commentary with several people.  If you or any of the other RF runners or whoever is interested in being a part of it, let me know.  The more the merrier.
I don't run the game myself, but thanks for inviting me! If you really can't get anyone else I suppose I can sit on the virtual couch and try to ask smart questions. Cheesy
Just a little plug here,

The segmented run of the game on Impossible difficulty has been submitted and is up for verification on the verification board.  Just in case there's any RF players that dont frequent the verification board, I thought I'd throw it out there.

Well, I'm already aboard. Shame on anyone who doesn't frequent the verification board!

Finished up the long-form round table commentary with the dudes that helped immensely with the run a while ago, but finally got it uploaded to the youtube.  In the future I'll try and remember to do commentaries and such BEFORE I encode videos for SDA submission so I can include the commentaries on the SDA versions without having to re-encode them which takes forever blah blah blah.

This commentary was fun and goes a little more in-depth into the run than the notes I submitted, which was my plan.

I'm downloading it now Wink
Great! Can't wait to get to talk about the run in an update 6 months from now.
