during my testing I noticed that the quick sand invasion appears to be triggered by more then just level completion I think they may also be tied to teensies. maybe 130 teensies I'm not sure yet. but the requirements are more complicated then I first thought
Alright, I figured out how tickets work. They are all set in stone, but instead of being assigned to levels, they are assigned to order. First ticket is ALWAYS the same, second is ALWAYS the same, etc. So this means before they are worth it you need to scratch 6(7?) tickets to get geyser blowout. This probably means they aren't worth it. Also worth noting the first time that something happens, such as a world unlocking in the overworld or time trials unlocking, the game will automatically bring you to it, meaning the first unlocked time trial of the game is more than just "worth it" it's nearly mandatory. Also I did a run with no real route and ended up getting a 2:17:54, or rather I would have if I killed the world 4 boss in time. Unlocking the world 4 miniboss takes way more teensies than I thought it would, meaning we need to have some extras by then, I think.
I'll continue timing ILs tomorrow, learned a lot today.
