Wait, so how is it exactly that you interact with things on Wii U? Shit I may need to look into this.

But first and foremost, going to bounce some times every now and then off of you guys. Gonna need ya'll to check out your platforms boards and see if anything tops it.

First up, Quick Sand (1-5) Invaded in 32.93. Any help would be appreciated Smiley

It works like this: Once you enter a Murphy level at a certain point you have to touch the gamepad to release Murphy, afterwards you control Murphy with the gamepad and by touching stuff you active/destroy it. Also if you touch enemies, bumpers and so on you get more lums+you can smash spider and stuff(interesting gimmick). While you control Murphy the AI takes over the character and he will follow the path you open. If you open the paths to Teensies he will go there and get them. Its not really slow if you don´t do mistakes so i wouldn´t be so sure about the WiiU version not being a good one to run. I would show you a video but i can´t stream/capture WiiU xD

So you mean like, you play on the Wii U pad. Things are activated by pressing? I figured like say with the platforms youd need  to like drag them down/where they need to go. This is sounding more interesting the more I hear about it. Still not convinced it would catch it up, I've found some insanely tight Murphy tricks in the first level alone that I'm not sure you could execute on controls and touch at the same time, unless you had some ungodly claw grip for taps. Still, VERRRY interesting.

Well it depends on the object. The moving platforms get pulled, ropes get cut by moving the finger/whatever through them and so on. It works pretty well and it makes much more fun than just pressing a button to be honest. Also hard Murphy tricks are easier on WiiU since you don´t have to jump, move or anything else. You only touch.

You "activate" stuff like bumpers and enemies, they start to glow purple and give you purple lums instead of yellow/gold ones. Its extremely useful if you want to unlock stuff.

I lurk around about this game for a bit and it seems really cool.

I get the game on pc and the fps is capped at 50? is that the case on all platforms and can it be changed ? I feel like my 8 year old european self again

and on a side note, huge 100% race when ? that would be so much fun
Ganondorf = Donkey Kong LOOK IT UP!!
As far as I have heard, the game ACTUALLY does run 50fps on full screen. Windowed runs at 60fps, so that's why I record in windowed (that and 5:4 monitor sooo yea). I'm sure they'll patch that issue, it's been made aware to them I know that much. Totally know what you mean with when you were 8 hehe freakin PAL.

Also, guys, holy fucking shit.

Okay yeah can indeed confirm that the game runs pretty solid at 60 when it is in windowed mode. Phew at least something works, it might seem silly but it already feels slightly more tight in controls.

And still, doing 100% of this is so much fun so far
I'd be up for races, on any category. We even could create a bingo. Cheesy

Fuck yeah. Guys. Deep in the Ubisoft support readme in the Legends appcache in the Steam folder *takes breath* I FOUND THIS

Fantastic Cheesy
Races would be awesome, also I'm going to start timing levels, as we can skip some. I already timed geyser blowout at ~2:05 with small mistakes getting all 10 teensies.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
So sadly, comparing my results so far(2 levels in any% left to go) with Ubergoos's ticket results, it looks like they are in fact RNG to some extent. Enough to where we probably shouldn't rely on grabbing 450 lums in a stage and then scratching everything for the CHANCE that we get an extra stage. I've got 2 levels left, so after that I will post my results. They are pretty different though.
I get the feeling im the WiiU outsider, i have to run this and beat all of you to save the console right? *cough*
Ganondorf = Donkey Kong LOOK IT UP!!
Bam. Save swapping with no hassle confirmed. Backed up the 100%, played through W1 any% then swapped it back in, no issues, not even with the leaderboards. Con though, I get hassled by like 3 or 4 uplay related rewards because it thinks I haven't recieved them in-game. Eh, no biggie.

ALSO FYI DONT JUMP INTO THE PRE-EVIL TEENSY PUNCH TO SPACE CUTSCENE THEN SKIP FAST IT SOFTLOCKS EVERYTHING LOL
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
So a few things I want to say about timing Teensies:

1. For timing the levels(since it appears we can skip 1 per world) I would time them with 8 Teensie routes. All those teensies should be short enough to where if the level is being done, then they are definitely worth it. I wouldn't include the King/Queen Teensies since they should have great variables in time, and should be counted seperate from the timing of the whole stage for skipping levels purposes.

2. For timing the King/Queen Teensies, make sure timing starts from the point where you have to leave the normal path of the level and ends when you get back to that point. Not just the bonus teensie itself.

3. Something to remember, if we do skip levels, then we might not get access to certain other Invasion levels later on. Once I'm done with my playthrough today, I'll try to post which levels unlock which invasion levels.

Also, no matter what, you will receive 20 tickets, so it's debatable you might want to just scratch all of those after World 4 to then weigh your options. You probably will get some teensies and origins levels, it's just debatable if they are worth scratching all those tickets for, or if we just want to say "No Tickets". We can probably devise this by timing all the teensies we have access to and finding the 260 fastest that way, then applying the ticket/Origins Teensies after. I'm hoping we just don't have to touch those now.

UberGoose: 2013-09-04 12:46:24 pm
Spike, why do you say you will always get 20 tickets? the bonus tickets are only after you beat the music level iirc

Anyway, working on level timings, here's first 2 worlds, all skippable levels (as I understand it):
Level times no kings (very rough times, just getting a ballpark)
1-1 1:55
1-2 1:50
1-3 1:05
1-4 2:10
1-5 2:05 easy to make mistakes, also might not be skippable

2-1 1:50
2-2 1:50
2-3 1:55
2-4 1:45

EDIT: World 3 times, this world is pretty slow as a whole compared to the earlier ones. Worth noting that becoming a duck takes ~8 seconds, and murphy flying in takes ~5 seconds.
3-1 3:05 <--- skip if possible
3-2 2:10
3-3 2:30
3-4 2:30 this level is mostly on rails
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
oh damn, I just figured you got them for beating the bosses, not the music levels. Nevermind then.
Ganondorf = Donkey Kong LOOK IT UP!!
I can't imagine it would be too likely that skipping any of the main room levels would benefit the time, considering the whole 8 teensy in ~2 minutes thing
It's just what to do with the rest. Hmm :/
Well i guess thats something we just have to find out
I'm doing testing on the invasion levels ill try and have some of the levels up today

Btw it may be usefull if everyone writes the Invasion Level Top 10´s for each platform from time to time
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Another thing to note about the skipping whole levels thing. I'm not sure what timing people are using, but it should go from jumping in the painting to gaining control of Rayman outside of the painting. I really think what's load screens/results screens are added, it might be faster to skip a level or two instead for 8-16 faster Teensies, I could be wrong though.

For the level's I've been timing from end of loading to touching final door. But you're right, traveling between levels is very important to this as well, I'll probably work on that after I time every level.
another thing timing wise for the secret teensies is starting the timer when we deviate from the normal path and then stopping the timer when we return to the normal path. I feel that it will rule out some of the teensies for the route.
Playing casual now, will start learning the run once somebody records the any% route. I'll leave the routing to you guys.

Also, I probably won't finish learning Origins and just stick with this.
Ganondorf = Donkey Kong LOOK IT UP!!
Yay Ferret is here ^^ heh didn't realise you were learning Origins. Makes sense to ditch it, I mean, all the good parts of Origins are in THIS game anyway Tongue
