resolution is a bit low. can you record at at least 640x480 30 fps? or does the game not run at 640x480?

yes i can, but the whole run is going to be boring long(about 7-8 hours), and the total size of the final video is estimated to be 10gb for 400*300, and 25gb for 640*480. i doubt if there are many people(including myself) willing to waste so much time and hdd space downloading and keeping them, especially since my running skills aren't among the best in the world.
besides, 400*300 is suitable for web streaming, which is the way i feel most people would watch it in.
if i were to record a run within an hour or two, i would record in 640*480.
I think something is not optimal with your bandicam encoding. For example the 6h46m legaia 2 run is 584MB LQ, 1.19GB MQ and 4.93GB HQ. You may want to re-encode it with Yua or similar afterwards if bandicam can't do the job well, but you would have to have better source video than 400*300 then.

i'll look into yua to see how it performs, and decide on a solution.
now there are several possible options:

1. play at 640*480, capture at 640*480: game is too blocky to play
2. play at 800*600, capture at 400*300: my preference, but you all feel it too low.
3. play at 800*600, capture at 800*600: video files may grow too large.
4. play at 1024*768, capture at 512*384: okay for me but you may still feel it too low.
5. play at 1280*960, capture at 640*480: may work but fps may drop by a bit, my ideal is to maintain a consistant 90fps for smooth playing.

i did some tests with yua and wasn't too impressed. while the file size is smaller(HQ is about 0.8GB/H), the image quality is also lower than what i recorded as expected.

anyway, the size of 640*480 record is smaller than i expected so it will do. i will send recorded 2GB/H videos to sda which serves as both source and HQ encode, and you convert it to MQ, is that okay?

that looks fine to me.
