Yes, I've already tested that yesterday evening.
But I did it a bit different: I grap the rock, jump on it and the I've only to press the jump key all the time. This is stil a bit difficult. I've you would like I can upload a video to show you.

Yes or just do the "flying" trick with a rock or better with the engine (don't know if that works but would be nice)
EDIT: You can also use the "flying" on objects trick at lake utuqoa. You've only to take an object and fly over the frozen lake. So you wont break into the ice...
I had tried that with a piece of wood from that little hut.
