well i tried to make it happen but i'm not going to be able to. i just can't swing it right now, i just got a job designing next year's UT3 curriculum for a game design summer camp.

but i'll post a picture of myself in the forum member thread and you can print it out and tape it to a pillow and put a controller in front of it. if that's of any consolation.

How about a head-to-head Super Metroid run?  That would be most excellent.  Most of you don't know me, but Nate just might remember that I submitted a 36 min SS Super Metroid run about two years ago...right before Hotarubi's 32 SS was released!  Yeah, that sucked...anyways, I would totally be down for some Super Metroid goodness, or whatever other games everyone wants to play.

Okay, Magfest is two months away, so you should make plans soon if you haven't already.

Also, here is the group registration list so far, I know more people want to come/are coming, and you get a little over a 25% discount ($29.17 instead of $40) if we can get 12 people in a group!

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Okay, I'm going to preregister soon now that I have the first 12-person group. If you still want to register, but you're not part of the first group, don't worry, we will have a second group.

It looks like preregistering will cost around $54.17 per person, which includes the cost of registration and badge. Still, cheaper than the 65 dollars you would be paying if you registered solo.

If you're wondering why I'm rushing this a bit, it's because the Magfest organizers were wondering if we could actually pull people into Magfest, so I'd like to prove that we can.

How: Paypal. You can also mail a check or pay me when you get there if you don't have paypal or if you're broke at the moment. My paypal is mikw_uyma, and it's a hotmail address, but don't give me money until I get everything figured out.

When: When I figure all of the quirks to preregistration, which should be soon (no later than next week).

Okay, I registered. Registration is $29.17 per person, I just read things incorrectly. Like I said, my paypal is mikw_uyma and it's a hotmail address. If you can't pay me back right now, that's fine, I just need the money before I give you a badge.

Speaking of badges, I need to meet people somewhere around Magfest to give them their badges after they pay me, as I'm obviously unable to host everyone. I'm thinking of meeting at the MagFest entrance sometime Thursday (I think it starts at 6?), so people who are staying at the hotel can get their badges ASAP.

People who have paid me back so far.

No one yet.

Nate will do the second set of registrations.

Because of when it falls, I actually think you can get there and grab your badge as early as Wednesday, and everything should be up and running by early Thursday.

I'll personally be getting there Thursday evening, but just wanted to let you know.

Yeah, it's going to be early-mid Thursday for me too.

Probably going to have a friend ride the bus after me to join me at the event, unless I can work something out as far as plane tickets go. I'm not entirely sure what he's doing at this point. <_<
