i'll try to introduce everyone but please bear with me as i've never met most of you irl before. hopefully other people from both sites can help with that.
Also, on the off–chance that anyone lives Maryland/southern PA and needs a ride, I could certainly help out there. Could also help with train pickup/dropoff if need be.
This is a very good Idea to create a Event for all Peoples which comes from this big World. The fantastic Idea is to see and talk in real life with other Peoples. I think it come up infinite Fun on this meeting without End.
My father and I would like travel to the USA, but we have Politic trouble to travel in the USA. http://www.usatipps.de/Tips_1/A_-_E/Einreise/einreise.html The Problem is the Terror fear from the USA. We are need a separately entrance visa and we must wait six month for the authorization to travel in the USA. This is a big Problem for us.
We are can only travel to the city 'New York' and in the federal state 'Kentucky'. My father has friends on this site and this friends make it easy for us to travel on this place.
I would really like to travel in the USA.

But the friends from my father has tell me, that the Beer on this Site is Horse Piss. is this real ?
I'm going to try my hardest to turn up to this one, whether it is in America or not. I've been planning to visit Elly/Ryvnn (she lives in Maryland) for quite some time now, and as I've recently picked up this programming job it might actually happen now. By winter break I should be set, so hopefully you'll all get to see what I'm really like when I'm not constantly irritated by idiots talking about Nintendo franchises.
I'll probably bring my (ancient) laptop with Quake and Descent on it.
Though I'm not sure if I could, I would love to make it to something like this. I've managed to save up some money during the summer, so hopefully I'll still have enough by then to afford the trip.
Quote from SMK:
Seriously though, I guess my likeliness to attend would be based around if there's anyone in the Manitoba / North Dakota Area who'd want to carpool there and back and help pay for gas / share the driving load.
I saw "Winter break" and "Mid-Atlantic" and thought "You should do it at MAGFest!" lo and behold, it's an option...
Anyway, my winter break (Such that it is) is being taken up by, um, MAGFest, but if you decide to have it there...
(ALSO: Kareshi has also attended the last several MAGFests. I won't speak for him, but going to more than one would imply approval of the event from my end)

I live in Fargo ND, so that may be an option.
Fargo is definitely along the way. Maybe we can convince Lazylen to come along to, I think I remember him saying that he lives in Steinbach.
I get the feeling that if I came, I'd be the only girl there. (Probably also the only one with a baby if I brought my daughter--would babies be allowed? ;))
It sounds cool, but that would be a long drive from Utah, plus there would be other things I'd have to work out. Right now it's more likely that I won't be coming.
This sounds like an opportunity for rare co-op runs But since I'm only 17 I'll probably have to wait till next year.....if there even is one next year.
For the Europeans, you guys could hold a parallel meeting in Europe, unless somehow you wouldn't mind traveling to the US.
I'd consider to come if there were enough people and the meeting would be somewhere around west Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg or Belgium. I don't have the money to visit the USA (and after what I've heard from Mortyre the conditions to enter the USA are very hard).

You have right 'djcj' for a meeting in Europe, is this the best Place.
I think the best way for a meeting in Europe is the Country Netherlands. I have no Problems to travel in this neighbour country.
This is the number one in my Country List for me, to start a meeting in Europe.
In the Netherlands have you free feelings and it gives no Problems to travel this Country for all Peoples comes from the World. this Country can be travel with air plains or a large number of ships and also for cars. The city's Rotterdam and Amsterdam are very nice. - It is a stupid idea from me to post this, but I like my Idea.

I'd definitely be interested in something like this, but my attendance would be dependent on how close to the west coast it was. With the current plans, you'd have to count me out.
Sorry, since it's East Coast I'm out. However, if anybody is around Sioux Falls, SD at the end of September (26-28th), you can meet me at Sogencon (http://www.sogencon.org/).
Mortyre, you don't need a Visa to travel to america, as long as you only stay for less than 90 days. This was ruled out some years ago. I've made my holiday in colorado last year, snowboarding for 2 weeks
I'd potentially come to the EU meeting, netherlands sound good, but i'm honestly not sure if we can get enough people and if it really will be "sda-ish". I'll gladly be convinced of the opposite, though.
In any case, i want to see some webcam-action of the US meeting. It's probably even awesome that way
