You may not know what this game is. Basically there was and still is a kinda shitty series of point and click games based on Nancy Drew. It's one of those weird things I casually mention I've played as a joke, and through watching various speedrun events I've mulled over "I should speedrun a Nancy Drew game or something stupid like that" with friends. Something stupid like that is... here, now. I'll be updating this thread with my times until I get another computer powerful enough to stream... then I'll start streaming, I guess! My first few will undoubtedly be terrible until I re-memorize the puzzle solutions, because I never bothered to as a kid. Online walkthroughs spoiled me.

There IS an existing run on youtube but it's not verified and while watching it I could already see a couple of ways the time could be improved. Post about this dumb game for teenage girls?

Stopping when you stop clicking, starting when you press "junior detective" and the game begins, I only ended up about 8 minutes slower than the "world record" run on YouTube. Some more planning and routing and I should be able to beat it no problem.

Guess no one cares! I beat the WR today. Not to say there was a WR in the first place because that run wasn't ever verified. Gonna record + submit soon.
You waited one day for a response, this forum isn't that fast most times Wink
While I have no experience with the game myself and can't help you with your route, I have seen the game as a joke on game grumps and would like to see a run nevertheless.

No immediate interest does not mean that you should not have your fun speedrunning something, the game I speedrun has an active community of one guy plus me.
I think there hasn't been much interest in speedrunning "Secret of the Scarlet Hand" because it's a very linear, straightforward game. Speedrunning it is basically just playing the game as intended, complete with the 15 minutes of nothing but phone calls.

The game that people are most interested in speedrunning--as in, at least five runners--is "Secrets Can Kill Remastered". Probably because it's the shortest game.
