The Midwest Speedfest is back! Partnered with 2D Con again this year, the Midwest Speedfest is a for fun marathon that focuses on going fast. With special permission to run the marathon for the entirety of the event, the Midwest Speedcrew is calling upon all Midwestern speedrunners (and those willing to make the trip) to come celebrate this exciting hobby with friends and fans alike.
Since the event is partnered with 2D Con, you will need to purchase a badge to be at the event. With coordination between 2D Con staff and Midwest Speedcrew members, we’ve been able to negotiate a $20 registration fee for the three day event for all speedrunners scheduled for the event. We’re still working out the discount code logistics and such, but if you’re interested in registering now, do so here: http://www.2dcon.net/attend/
The submission forms are also live! The current submission cutoff date is April 30th at 11:59 PM CST. If you’re interested in submitting some games, feel free to do so here: http://bombch.us/BP88 and if you want to see what has been submitted already, check here: http://bombch.us/B4nh
We’re also a little short handed on staff for tech, so if you’re interested in helping out with that, please let us know in your submission!
