Hi there! My name is Joshua Keck, and I'm a student filmmaker at the University of Cincinnati. For my capstone project, I'm producing a documentary on speedrunning. You might have seen me at AGDQ2016 -- I was there Friday and Saturday getting footage. I've already interviewed CosmykTheDolfyn and VivaLaGaming360, but I'm still looking for one or two more people to interview for this project to help round it all out.
The film, Frame Perfect, will serve as an introduction to speedrunning for casual- and non-gamers who may have heard the term and want to learn what it's all about. Ideally, the interview will involve two parts. The first will be a series of questions about what speedrunning is and your personal involvement in it. The second will involve a walk-through demonstration of select parts of your runs, such as glitches or other techniques.
I'm based in Cincinnati, but willing to travel a fair distance. If you're in the Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana areas, I'd love to hear from you. I'll be monitoring this thread, but the best way to contact me is to use my email address below. If you have any questions, post them below or email me directly.
