Hi there! My name is Joshua Keck, and I'm a student filmmaker at the University of Cincinnati. For my capstone project, I'm producing a documentary on speedrunning. You might have seen me at AGDQ2016 -- I was there Friday and Saturday getting footage. I've already interviewed CosmykTheDolfyn and VivaLaGaming360, but I'm still looking for one or two more people to interview for this project to help round it all out.

The film, Frame Perfect, will serve as an introduction to speedrunning for casual- and non-gamers who may have heard the term and want to learn what it's all about. Ideally, the interview will involve two parts. The first will be a series of questions about what speedrunning is and your personal involvement in it. The second will involve a walk-through demonstration of select parts of your runs, such as glitches or other techniques.

I'm based in Cincinnati, but willing to travel a fair distance. If you're in the Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana areas, I'd love to hear from you. I'll be monitoring this thread, but the best way to contact me is to use my email address below. If you have any questions, post them below or email me directly.

Thread title:
For Fun! For GLORY!!
Just throwing this out there. In June is a marathon out of Ohio called the Buckeye Speed Bash. I'm sure you can find someone to interview there. Tongue

For better or for worse, the film will have to be done long before June. The final submission date is in March. Thank you for the heads up, though.
Games!
I'll be in Lexington, KY on Monday February 22nd. You free that day? Less than a 2 hour drive.

It depends on the time. I'll need to be back in Cincinnati by 6:00. Can you send me an email with your schedule for that day? I'd love to interview you if we could make it happen.
I go down to UC smash tournaments sometimes on Saturdays and would love to help you out if you are free some Saturday.

I'll be there all day. I tend to sleep in, but any time that day works.

OK, great. Send me an email at keckja@mail.uc.edu and I'll give you some more details on what I'd like to cover.
This sounds pretty interesting to me. I'd love to help out if possible. This is kind of an idea people have been talking about for awhile but I don't think anyone has really done it yet. I'm in Northwest Indiana. Bit of a drive to Cincinnati (like 4 hours), but I may be able to work something out possibly in the near future.

4 hours could be doable. Send me an email with your name, what city you're in, and what days you're usually available, and I'll put you down as a backup.
I live in Cincy myself, and I wouldn't mind giving some of my thoughts off camera if that is fine.

I don't think I'd be able to use something like that, but thank you for offer.
