The sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, a heavily broken game.

Time-based leaderboards are removed. Petition here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/289690/discussions/0/617321352371897652/
Most of the tricks from the first game seem to be patched.

In the Tomb of the Torturer you can bomb boost the sunballs to the end without having to push them through the spike maze. Just put a bomb underneath them and run away so the spikes go down, then detonate the bomb.

- When using the shield you can walk up some slopes that you can't get up by jumping
- In the Tomb of the Lamplighter you can use an amulet with fire projectiles to light the gas valves, saves you having to wait for those spinning gears

Seems like this game will either be New Game or IL runs. IGT seems broken, I checked the leaderboards and it is giving me 1min for 2 or 3 levels. Also found a couple of bomb jumps but haven't recorded anything.

Also the items seems weird, until someone makes a list of them and all their perks it will be difficult to know what to go with. Onyx items seem the best but I'm not liking this random chest opening they have everywhere

Edit: Nevermind, I just beat the game and used cheatengine to give myself unlimited gems in the treasure room after the final boss to see what I got. It doesn't even matter what chest you open because they all seem to be random loot, and if you die in the room all the chests respawn with loot inthem which tells me that all these items have randomly generated stats (besides the ones you get from tomb challenges).
Also anything above silver doesn't have a drawback apparently.
Here's the best item I have gotten so far.

Also, I don't think there is a NG+ unless I am stupid and missed it somewhere Sad

Yeah I have a very similar Onyx item from a 1000 gem chest and I am using it. Kinda sucks that they are randomly generated. Mine is called "Onyx spirit of Sobek". Only difference is that it gives fire bonus not ice, the rest is the same. They may be given in a random order but there should be a limit on the Onyx items thus it should be possible to find the "best" combination of rings/amulet/weapons for runs.

In some levels you will want speed and others there is a good deal of enemies to kill (Unless down the line they can be skipped) so you might have to mix it up the combination.

As for weapons I have no idea. There is an achievement talking about an Onyx weapon but then again this could also be random. I got legendary ice pistols from a chest also. I have just been using the Automatic Dart Rifle and it's really good. Killed Khepri in 1:43 with it

Edit: Just got an Onyx weapon (Pistols) they pretty OP. You have to collect Canopic jars. These appear randomly in levels you have finished before (Not sure if you need all challenges) When you pick these up it says the name of someone on your friends list (Ariwa in my case). I will assume this is where they died as they are always around spikes and traps and such. 5 are needed for the Onyx Pistol and 10 for the Onyx Sub-machine Gun. It appears to go up by 5 each time (0-5, 0-10, 0-15) so you are actually are collecting 30 total for the 3rd weapon.
Haven't beaten the game yet, played 3-player co-op to Lamplighter and then completed all the challenges I missed in single player.

- You can walk on water using the shield if you turn it on before stepping in the water.
- You can make a pretty funky stack and reach some high places by having two people using shields on top of one another and one person jumping off that.
- Lag and load times are very, very odd. I was playing with Ariwa and Shrimp and several times Shrimp took a lot longer to load the area than the others and instead of standing still or not spawning, his character started floating upwards at a moderate rate, pulling the camera with him. Me and Ariwa died as a result and were able to spawn to Shrimp far above the level, who was apparently still loading the level. Reminded me of Fiery Depths.
- I was able to unload most of the main hub by dying at the wrong time:

The lack of "restart level" option is pretty annoying and when doing attempts it's going to be a lot worse, I hope they patch that in.

Does anyone else get horrendous framerate? I am playing on the lowest settings and getting maybe 20 fps. It's really annoying because I have a pretty good rig and had no problems playing GoL
EDIT: Also, did you know you can do the swan dive like in the other Tomb Raiders if you hit jump and roll at the same time? Just figured that out lol. I think it is faster than just rolling. Nevermind, not even close to being faster than rolling
I haven't had any framerate issues so far, but I played 3 player coop last night and the lag was insane. When running from Ammet in the first level I was just spamming jump at random intervals and hoping for the best. Also, on my screen the guys I was playing with just zipped around and half the time seemed to be oob. Pretty disappointing, but I'll be playing this primarily local coop anyway.

Seeing the swan dive actually made me really nostalgic, I remember using that all the time in Tomb Raider 2 when I was like 8.

I get 43fps on very high and 120fps on very low. The game seems poorly optimized. GTX 970 should be able to do much better than that for game like this.

We had a ton of lag in 2p co-op as well, along with a few bugs that would easily end a co-op run. We kept getting a black screen after transitioning a level, then after 30 seconds we appear at the room we just left. The other bug was the camera moving to a random location after a cutscene ends and and pulling us there, killing both of us.

Did the entire game in local co op and it only hardlocked twice on us. Only fps issues were in large areas (Hub, water boss) Really does seem like the way to play unless it can be turned into good lag to get OOB, sounds really inconsistent though. The game was kind enough to save where we were in the level. I have now completed the game (All achievements and all the hub health/ammo boosts I can find) No idea what's going on with rings and amulets

Still planning to find out if the Onyx weapons have a limit but that would involve randomly going through levels looking for where people died or getting someone to spike themselves to death a ton

Found a small skip in Tomb of the Lamplighter. It looks like you can still bomb boost when you climb up a ball, but it is a lot shittier in this game.

Also, does anyone know how to prevent avidemux from deleting audio?

EDIT: Found something else as well.
You can skip the annoying ass gear puzzle at the end of tomb of the lamplighter by flamethrowering the last gear to get it to light the last torch. Apparently the last one is the only one that needs to be lit to trigger the stairs to come up.

(^The puzzle is completed but only one torch is lit and I haven't touched the ball if you don't see it.)
Someone made a list of the rare/good items:
http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/showthread.php?t=149211

Without looking into anythingt at all, the obvious item choices seem to be:
Magic Stick + Rocket Launcher + Fire Enchanted SMG + ...Railgun?
Gold Ring of Protection + Gold Ring of Strength
Onyx Spirit of Khepri
Idk I feel like the high powered shotty wrecks.
I think it would go: Fire Enchanted SMG + Rocket Launcher + HP Shotgun
Both Gold Rings
Onyx Spirit of Sobek
How exactly do you jump infinitely. I managed to do so only on solid ground and only if I was low enough to see the character color circle. It would help greatly if I could see the input to do so but unfortunately the video shows no such thing.

<dwhs> shield, spam jump, shield, spam jump
<dwhs> or spam both and get lucky
<dwhs> and seems like only girl can do it
Is there even a point for me to get this on console as opposed to PC?
Considering I dont have a PC, I'll be getting this on Console once I have a console it is available on.  Until then, good luck everyone on finding stuff. I look forward to being able to join you in running this game as LC GoL was a blast to run!

Some small finds:

The fastest method of movement seems to be using timed rolls since the first roll has a small boost. If you're doing cartwheels and shit, it's slow.

coop silversmith puzzle skip (difficult and doesn't save much time, but it's the first infinite jump skip we've found)

coop - using camera to get extra distance of jump

We got 1:13:42 on our first "run" and <50 mins seems possible. Online seems way too buggy so we probably won't do any more, a lot of bullshit deaths from randomly flying across the map and black screens. (2p coop)
Sub 50 mins. definitely seems possible. Me and a friend have been doing a couple of 2-player online co-op runs the past days and we currently have a sum of best segments at 56:03. We've been dealing with a lot of crashes and black screens/double loading screens which has happened in every run so far so it kinda sucks to try to get a good run going at the moment.

A lot of other bugs have been plaguing us as well:
Time Bombs not detonating, gets stuck in the red state.
The beam from Isis' staff gets invisible, making it really hard to aim.
Random crashes/disconnects.
Random deaths after loading screens.
Random deaths after loading screens where one player will fall through the ground.
Cutscene when entering the pyramid not playing (goes straight to gameplay).
Bugged cutscenes where we are able run around while another pair of our characters' models play out the cutscene as usual.
Lara's rope randomly stops working when it's attached to something (either when she's carrying someone with it or having someone walk across the rope)
Lara's torch stops working completely (game restart needed to get it back).
The world falling apart/not spawning, we had the bridge to the pyramid fall (ALL of it) and when we tried to jump out where it was supposed to be we were able to stand on it but the next step we fell down and died.
Players getting stuck in the ground.

It's great fun to play when it works so hopefully the more severe bugs will be dealt with.

I found a major gamebreaking bug in this game today while playing with my brother. See here:

You can clip through the final boss door and go right to the Tomb of Set (successful attempt happen a bit after 2:40 in the video). We are also trying to clip right back into the temple after the first level, will post progress on that later. If successful, you will only have to complete the first and last levels of the game to beat it. Otherwise, you will have to do the first 3 to open the temple again, then do the final level, which is still pretty short.

Also, we do not have a consistent strat for this yet. Will update when we do.

(Entertainingly, I know nothing about the speedrun of this game and I haven't beaten it legit yet! But my brother and I are most certainly doing serious attempts after this discovery.)

EDIT: This was on PS4, by the way.
Quick update: After a solid night of lots of testing, my brother and I just got a 11:10 in this game utilizing the glitch I showed in the video above. Found some other nifty skips using the same trick, and have gotten consistency up a ton in preforming the trick.

Sadly we did not record the run, but are going to try to get a good recorded time tomorrow. We are certain that sub-10 is possible in a near flawless execution of our route, sub 11 should be easy.
I posted yesterday about a new method of glitching through walls in Temple of Osiris, and today my brother Olofthered and I managed to record a pretty decent run to claim a new world record! VOD here:
http://www.twitch.tv/raen_/v/13986131
Overall, it went really well, although there are plenty of improvements to be made. All the wall clips went very well, although the first one (that I've been calling SMG Skip) was a bit rough with a few deaths. The temple door skip and the boss door skip went incredibly well, however. We also BARELY missed the 3 cycle on the final boss, so we lost a bit of time there.
Overall, I'd say there was about 40 seconds in obvious mistakes here. With lots of practice, it's quite possible that a time of ~ 8 minutes is possible. Still pretty happy with this run, though.
