Nothing major, I just wanted to post the run I did with my friend.

We've only done some casual running, just enough to get us the top spot on the PC leaderboards. There might be a chance that we try to do more serious runs but if we do, we need to find a way to deal with the lag and figure out how that multi jumping glitch works.

EDIT:
Is the rapid firing trick console only or what's the trick behind it? Same question about grapple jumping. And generally, I'm interested in any co-op tricks that aren't explained in this thread. For example a more detailed explanation or a video of the Temple Grounds clipping would be helpful, we haven't succeeded at that yet.

Just did a single segment NG+ co-op run with my friend and got 32:12 which is bloody amazing since we broke several of our old records and got very close to even more. Even more amazing is that it was 5am and we were about to fall asleep.

ToL 3:33
TG 3:10
ST 1:54
S 0:11
FG 1:16
TS 3:57
FP 2:24
JoD 1:25
TB 2:11
FD 3:07
BotB0:19
SG 1:31
MW 1:16
XS 5:58

The only weak points in the run were Fiery Depths where we messed up the second fight skip and the level didn't load properly once. Stronhold of Xoloth was somehow pretty slow too and then there were only some smaller mistakes that were expected but none of those cost us more than 10 seconds each. Even sub-30 might be possible with perfect gameplay but I think we're good with 32 for a while now.

Edit:
Spider Tomb broke a bit, we got 0:50 during which we messed up a jump. Our total time is now 27:49 27:06.
Shameless triple post.

We decided to go for IL too and got these times:

ToL 3:25
TG 2:47
ST 0:50
S 0:08
FG 1:15
TS 3:46
FP 2:13
JoD 1:24
TB 1:42
FD 2:05
BotB 0:17
SP 1:06
MW 1:07
XS 3:24

Total: 25:36

There are still some obvious mistakes but right now we don't care, 25 minutes is a pretty decent time. We'll probably submit that.

There are some IL levels that a single player run is much, much faster like MW (I got ~35 seconds) and TB.

The rapid firing trick is easier on a controller. You need to mash the 'pulling the weapon out' command (one of the buttons on the keyboard or the right stick on the controller) and fire button. This way you should cancel the recovery of each attack/throw so you can fire again much sooner.

The multi-jump trick with the grapple. Each time you attach to an object you can jump again once Lara starts her descent during a grapple swing. This way you can jump away from the grapple target and shoot the Grapple rope to attach and repeat the whole process.

Take note on the Co-op multi-jump trick that I let go and jump once Lara starts to descend.
Funny thing is, Lara's psychic shield glitch does not work on the PC version.

The TG skip is an odd one because one player needs to be by the the Spider Tomb's entrance. While the other player goes to the top left screen of the area and climb onto a spike ball. This messes up the camera and due to the game mechanics (2 characters must be on screen at all times) this forces the 'spider tomb player' to go Out of Bounds, inside the temple. That player needs to find the loading area that clears the level.

Is this a typo. If not I love to see how co-op breaks this stage. I can only think of the checkpoint death warp.
Just watched it. Very good use of death spawning at the end.

We tried this a lot but for some reason it didn't work with the Spear of Light. I could spam the normal spears easily but when I did the same input with SoL equipped nothing of interest happened.

We actually got this down already and used it in a few levels. We didn't do the ball skip in Flooded Passage simply because it was too difficult.

That could be what we did wrong. We got very close a few times but we never tried using the ball.    Nope, the camera breaks but we can't get into the temple.    Disregard that, we got through. Whole one time and it took 12 minutes.    Oops, 1:33. And 54 seconds! Hihihi. The way that clip works is black magic.

Thank you.  We use a similar warp in Fiery Depths to skip the second battle. Easier, faster and cooler than skipping it using spears.

EDIT:
We found new shortcuts in Mirror's Wake and Twisting Bridge.  No estimates on MW yet but our test run on TB was 1:30.

Yet another Spider Tomb timesaver. This level is funny.

EDIT:
Fiery Depths is now also broken beyond repair. More on that later.
Awesome!  Great times you have there.  Looks like I really do need to get back into this game.  I just finished my Gears of War Casual segmented run, so I'll go back to this and try to get better IL runs.  Looks like well executed co op runs can beat solo times.  How low can we go??

In regards to the rapid fire glitch, it is possible to mash too fast, so perhaps try to slow it down a tad?

Your twisting bridge time seems a little high to me.  Granted I have not done any co op runs, but I would think sub 1:20 could be possible.  here's my video of a solo 1:21 run.  You can actually spear the wall from ground level and have Lara tap the grapple button to reset her legs a little higher to get onto that ledge (this trick came from Greenalink, so perhaps he could explain it better if you don't understand).

My route on Mirror's Wake might be possible on co op as well.  But again, I haven't done any co op so I could very well be wrong.

You should definitely get back into this, there's still a lot to be broken. I think we have discovered something new every time we've played. I'll try to get a video of the new FD strat up later this week, we managed to skip pretty much everything but we still need an efficient way of doing it.

We've experimented with the rapid fire glitch without success, we've only managed to get it to work using normal spears but not with the Spear of Light.

The Twisting Bridge run is not optimized, there's at least on small shortcut we discovered after doing it and we missed one jump. It's not going to much lower, but it's improvable. Mirror's Wake is something we're still messing around with a lot. The SP route does work in co-op too, but I'm not sure if it's faster. Skipping the cutscene saves time over the co-op route but having to drag Totec around to actually get anywhere costs time. Our current strat is to rope jump past the door from the right side, which unfortunately triggers the scene despite Lara already being on the other side of the door.

EDIT:
Disregard what I said about Twisting Bridge, I only just realized that the fastest time I've mentioned in this thread is 1:30. The unoptimized run I was talking about is 1:20, so we've already beaten the SP time by a second.
hmm... either I'm really rusty or the Stronghold Passage clip has been patched.  I spent about 30 minutes trying to get it and it just won't work :(. Everything else worked though...  I hope some of the stuff you found, Kotti, are doable on Solo.
You're probably just rusty, that doesn't sound like a thing they'd patch if they were to patch anything at all. And don't expect the co-op tricks to do much on solo, most of the rely on rope jumping, death spawning and clipping through doors by manipulating the camera, which are all exclusive for co-op.
Yup, just watched one of my old videos, I was placing the spear a hair too low. I was standing like 2 steps too low from where the spear needs to be thrown.  So yeah, i would call that rusty memory.
Updated co-op times:

ToL 3:25
TG 0:42

Total: 22:18. Sub-21 may or may not be possible.

I am actually amazed how far Lara can fall down before she died.
There is that annoying mechanic where if you fall down far enough, the game automatically kills the playable character before s/he reaches to the ground. The other kind of death is an instant kind where the dying player 'groan' while dying.
Lara didn't actually fall as far as far as it looks in the video. The game's netcode just is pretty bad so what I see is often not exactly what my friend, who hosts the game, sees. What really happened was that Lara got stuck on an invisible thing and stayed midair for a while.

The bad news: When I upgraded my computer the Fiery Depths route stopped working. A new similar route has been found, but it's a bit slower.

The annoying news: Modified SP route in Twisting Bridge is a few seconds faster than our hell of a lot cooler original MP route.

The good news: Spider Tomb 0:31. Hihihi.

We'll try to record a submittable run (IL or SS or both) the next time we go to a LAN-party (early August I believe), we probably won't be bothering with any real attempts with lag being an issue.

EDIT:
Got our total time down to 21:14, though that includes the not-so-legit 1:17 Fiery Depths. Improvements were made in Twisting Bridge (1:07), Xolotl's Stronghold (2:57) and Mirror's Wake (0:58).
Current total time according to leaderboards is 20:10. Since abusing lag is allowed, we didn't record all runs locally when we had the chance but left a few to be made over the internet. For example, a new clip in Toxic Swamp takes no effort with some lag but without any it's very difficult. Current IL table:

3:21 Temple of Light
x:xx Temple Grounds (Should be 0:38)
0:29 Spider Tomb
0:08 Summoning
1:15 Forgotten Gate
x:xx Toxic Swamp (Should be ~3:15)
2:04 Flooded Passage
1:24 Jaws of Death
1:01 Twisting Bridge
x:xx Fiery Depths (Should be ~1:30 but we have no idea how)
1:05 Stronghold Passage
0:17 Belly of the Beast
0:57 Mirror's Wake
2:50 Xolotl's Stronghold

In total the final run should be about 20:15 but it all depends on how Fiery Depths goes. We pretty much have to come up with a new strat every time we play it.

Run is finished! New times are:

0:36 Temple Grounds
3:14 Toxic Swamp
1:10 Fiery Depths (!!!)
1:03 Stronghold Passage

Our total time according to the leaderboards is now 19:55 and since SDA doesn't account the fractions the total goes down to 19:49. Sub-20 feels good. Will be submitting soon.

Just a little heads up, despite having submitted the run we've kept coming up with new stuff, experimenting with some tricks and finding bits to optimize. The submitted time was 19:47 and we've now gotten it down to 18:56 and we are still planning on improving Temple of Light, Mirror's Wake and maybe Toxic Swamp with new strats. The new stuff is gonna replace the ones submitted, obviously.

But yeah, sub-19 just happened. I would say that sub-18 is impossible but that's what I said about sub-19. And sub-20. And sub-21.

EDIT:
The new Mirror's Wake strat is beautiful, 43s testrun. Definitely one of the craziest tricks in the game.

EDIT 2:
18:28 is probably going to remain as our final time. Verify the run to see it anytime soon Tongue .
Because quintuple post just isn't enough.

Full IL table on Youtube, and the time interestingly enough went down to 18:20 with new skips in Forgotten Gate and Stronghold Passage. Props to the Mango12 guys for beating our FG time, motivated us to look for new skips.

New co-op glitch. Also, can someone post the current console leaderboard times? Both singleplayer and co-op, if you can.

That's... sick. How does it work? Can you clip through any wall?
No, you can only backflip into very few walls and in most cases where flipping works, spawning doesn't do anything useful. In Stronghold Passage it can be used to get around the gate and cause desync between the players which could save a couple of seconds over the current fastest run which uses a spear and desync. It's both difficult to comprehend and to perform so I'm not counting on it being useful. Anything that involves intentional desync other than Fiery Depths is pretty mindbreaking imo.

Fatalis, the consoles I'm going to say are 2 separate categories.  The Xbox version of the game can be segmented, the PS3 can NOT.  current overall leaderboards for single player total to 24:49 on the XBOX and 25:48 on PS3 (this includes a new strat I'm posting below that is not on the 360 leaderboard times yet).

a guy named Taroth told me about a time of 1:20 on Temple grounds and said he'd been trying to figure it out.  this lead me to try something. I took the ball to the exit, used the climb and bomb strat from Kotti's runs (forgotten gate and Mirror's wake) and jumped over the gate.  its a tough jump, but I got a time of 1:39 right now (compared to my 2:31 on xbox).  I'll post ILs as soon as I perfect this strat on the 360 version.

Also, there are no strong co op runners on console at this time. Leaderboards are not worth posting.

Yeah, I found the Temple Grounds skip a few days ago but haven't gotten around making a video until now. I use two bombs to jump over the gate.
You can also use double-bomb on Mirror's Wake. This could be Greenalink's secret strat, but I'm not so sure if its THAT fast.
The last video shows the desync stuff we (me and dawhos) found in Forgotten Gate, as Kotti described.

DS Dictator
The strat I used on Mirror's Wake doesn't use double bomb jumping. The 'OoB' route is actually a bit different.
