Hey

Is anyone here willing to speedrun that game, or working on it atm?

I got a sub 12 minutes (in game timer) in normal speedrun mode. As far as I know, there are no interesting glitches/skips so far, just some timer abuse using pause/quit level!
Sub 11 should be possible considering I lost 40 seconds with mistakes, and also there are some details I may not know!
I can upload if anyone's interested about it.

This is not the giant
Didn't see this thread for a while which is a damn shame.

I found this game about 2 months ago while it was still in Early Access and managed to rope in a bunch of people from /srg/ to play it. We've mostly been focused on ILs but there have been some RTA runs done, mostly of Speedrun Easy and Adventure Normal. AFAIK Yoshipro101 is the record holder for both those categories. I myself tried a few RTA runs but the bosses are outright awful and very random so I never had too much interest. For the foreseeable future I expect Normal ILs to remain the dominant category.
Well yeah, people from srg must have helped me more than once to find routes in "open" levels. That ghost thing is damn useful!

Yeah it sounds like Yoshi's been on the game since the early access. He's got the best times in Adventure mode in Easy and Normal, Speedrun Easy, and a lot of ILs. I've had a better time in Speedrun Normal however, I've been focusing on it for most of my playing time.
I hope you're not right about ILs cause they drive me mad haha, I'll probably just stick with "satisfying" times and reliable routes to include in Speedrun mode.

For the bosses you're right, they're sometimes awful. But honnestly with some training you can get them consistently :
- That Yeti is probably the worst (luckily the first), had quite a few runs over against him. You can kill him in one cycle but it's hard. However succeeding in throwing two ice balls during his first cycle can be done often. You just have to pray about the RNG after Smiley
- The second boss is about smashing your keys ^^
- That third guy is the kindest
- The last boss can be horrible, however I've found a consistent way to kill him quickly (his first form I mean). You can check it out at the end of my normal speedrun mode here (red balls are a lie!):

Probably sub 11 minutes (in-game time) can be reached in this mode, but honnestly I've had enough for several weeks. Plus updates will probably come out regularly and ruin this route (for instance enemies' patterns recently changed in frantic forest -> I'm completely lost!)

New update came out recently. It added a spin move and some levels got changed around
