"If in doubt, flat out" -Colin McRae
Pretty much, the thread title states my question exactly. I am asking which decision to lean towards more frequently because I was on a massive streaming hiatus during the last quarter of 2014, mostly due to learning new games to speedrun. I'm not really sure what I should do.

I heard conflicting advice; some viewers say that I should stream later to get the skills consistent before streaming again, but I don't want to stop streaming my speedruns when I don't have to. I'm getting bored of Mario 64 for now, I'm beginning to practice Mega Man X in the any% category.

So again, what decision should I consider more often? Thank you fellow speedrunners/SDA members for your help,

RetroMegabyte (Retro)

[P.S.] despite the occasional technical difficulties here and there, AGDQ 2015 was totally awesome!

It depends on why you stream.  For me, I stream because I like the company, so I have no problem streaming practice.  If someone doesn't want to watch me practice the same stage repeatedly, they don't need to and can come back when I do start runs.  Streaming in general is also nice because if you encounter some new strat or something while not recording, you can go back to the VOD and check out what happened to study.  Not to mention, if you're having trouble with something, two heads are better than one, and having even more than that as an audience can be reassuring and rewarding.  I would say to go for it.

Thanks for your valuable advice, Cojosao! I appreciate it so much, that answered my question for the most part. Smiley

For me its if you have commentary on games id like to watch. and possibly multiple times. for me commentary is key. I feel like "marketing wise" if you have commentary on games people remember well they will watch.

both games you mentioned are cool though =)
