I was looking around to see if anyone else was looking into this game and only came across this thread, https://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/hand_of_fate.html, so I was wondering if there was any point in trying to learn this game?
Like the previous thread said this is an arkham combat based CCG with a lot of random elements involved in card draw, map creation and enemies faced. There is a skill cap of being able to track the success draws and optimizing combat. There is also a knowledge base required in knowing how certain levels of success and failure will effect each map card trying to get the best result from each card in the fastest time(eg. on The Tavern a Huge success is no reward, success is two gains, failure forces you into another draw and huge failure well I have yet to draw this but is can't be faster or better than a success)

I've been currently looking into getting the knowledge base of a 100% complete deck so I can run the entire gambit with the best possible cards and get the best outcomes but I have also been considering a new game run to force me to learn which events unlock gear that is quick to acquire and drastically impacts the speed through combat and just moving through encounters in general.

If anyone has any comments, links, or well anything I really want to hear them because this game seems runn-able to me but you guys know more than I who just showed up. Thank you in advance!
Thread title:
Good luck. This game is hard enough in casual play. I'm looking forward to seeing this when it's done Smiley

(Note: the rest of this is just off the top of my head, so take it with a massive grain of salt)
For speed, I think something like trying to stack the deck with cards that give you a specific type of equipment (like Twisted Canyon) and cards that let you just avoid the encounter entirely without a success/fail check (like Charity) might work. The success/fail check takes time, and even normally good things like random gold you never end up using cost time due to the animation. Cards that net you specific equipment would be really useful if you have equipment that would make the suit you're facing much easier. For example, you could do something like only including one club in your item deck if your boss is a skull suit. Then you'd be guaranteed to draw it once you landed on Twisted Canyon.

Obviously, death would take a lot of time too, so there's got to be a balance (or a ton of resets) there. Routing the unlocks is probably going to be huge in this so that you can always have "just what you need" before the level you need it in.

Currently Blood Crescent is the only weapon in my deck because it has finisher, instant kill on downed enemies, and it has the one hit kill special at the cost of ~20% of your life for use on bosses.

Ideally I would be able to find a card that forces shield draw so I can have enormous shield which knocks enemies down on bash, two hit kills on all creeps skeletons excluded because they can stand back up. Unfortunately enormous shield has a speed debuff so that kinda works against a speed run.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, I plan on getting a baseline using all my cards with an unoptimzed deck so anything should be an improvement from that point on and hopefully I can use some of the Steam guides to fill in gaps in my knowledge because people on steam are pretty awesome too

Edit: Didn't realize it was almost tomorrow when I posted this so making it clear that I meant Tuesday the 3rd
Running a quote unquote perfect deck this is a two hour game* with all cards available but seeing as that is just build a deck once and not run any real risk until you reach the boss I am going to stop even attempting that after I get one more complete run to upload here then move onto new game runs

*This is deathless on the twelve bosses and two/three attempts on the dealer and based on my sum of bests which is completely doable with better combat skills
