Also @Thinkshooter, why is your Ink Boss fight in your segmented run so bad? You could've cut a minute off that fight, I've wondered this ever since I first saw it.
Thanks for the feedback. I can see you've found some great skips. Yes, some of those skips are only valid if you can get the game to accept that you skipped the previous waypoints. Otherwise you could just get to the airport on the second island, or at the minimum, to Willis' airplane, and finish the game much faster.
Due in part to the high ratio of unskippable cutscenes - to - gameplay, I never went for an official speedrun. But I liked the game enough to produce the unofficial cutscene-less video that you saw. I understand you found a way to defeat the ink monster faster? In the second half of the fight (beginning around 1:12:14) it often took up to 8 rounds to finish him, while in the video I did it in only 4 rounds, so that's the take I kept. But surely there's more room for optimization and I'd love to see a video!
