Fast travel consume several seconds for using pipboy.
I made another test run. Now 37.39 at the "endgame" (checked by quicksave there) and 32.42 at hoover dam autosave. Route is actually the same as in my previous run, just some improvements here and there. And I haven't done the final ultimate shortcut (flying over the wall). Actually, you can fly over the wall or you can fly over some place on the left - in first case you'll face some legion guards, in second it seems too hard to perform flying due to non-flat surface.
And question to everyone - is it possible to skip observation of upgraded securitrons? I guess it ain't, but who knows.
Oh, I can tell something about health. I was almost at full health by the moment of entering hoover dam and had 7 stims out of 7. Turned out those stims were quite helpful, because I received a lot of damage in hoover dam (most of it in the building). By the end of the run I had 270/330 hp and 0/7 stims. It's very possible to use smaller amount of stims there, but I think you'll need about 5 anyway. By the way, it was pretty easy to made it to hoover dam almost without receiving damage before.

I'm not sure if menu time counts, but even if it does I think the fast travel point is around 7-8 seconds closer to black mountain

my current test run is 34:35 at the hoover dam autosave, still trying to do flying trick

I don't think so, autosaveing messes things up but I think it only saves time on the last part, I did find a way to get through the force field briefly

If done perfectly I think you can do the flying trick without taking much damage, might not need more then the starting 4
Save&load there just skips speech of yes man. But robots are programmed to show some action, and this action can't be skipped. And yes, I've also noticed it's possible to skip last part.

you can make the robots skip there actions but yes man's dialog is on a timer so you have to wait anyway
Post videos!

After killing house you run to yes man at benny room? Some times yes man is standing in front of tops... i didnt found what trigger this.

If you complete wild card side bets but haven't killed house you can tell him to wait out front for you

That is exactly what I wanted to talk about. Sometimes I think you read my thoughts, Enotus Smiley
I did test runs four times. In three of them I killed benny right in the tops casino, he was surrounded by bodyguards. And in the last one I did the black widow trick and killed him in his sleep.
Every time after killing house and visiting all the tribes yes man was standing in front of the tops, except last time. It took me about 40 seconds to run to him and back.
So right now I'm not sure if black widow style of killing benny is any faster than straight murdering. Gonna do some more testing on this and some more timing calculations.
Testing is easy with console commands "setgs fmoverunmult 20" "tgm" "tcl" "tmm 1". Just if somebody dont know this.
Thank you, didn't know about first command, but neither did I have a special need for that before. These commands barely can come in handy in this very case, anyway, they can be quite helpful in the others.

hum I wonder what makes him come out front then, I wonder what the quickest way to kill him is, killing him with a starting 9mm or laser pistol seems slow, grabbing a holdout weapon on rout seems better
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Holdout_weapons
throwing knives have a ridicules dps and can be brought in for free but getting enough doesn't seem worth it. Brass knuckles sneak attack seems like the next best option
I wonder how much hp he has on very easy, one crit sneak attack would probably be enough.
Built to Destroy trait plus 10 points of luck would give a base crit chance of 30% and if we get a knuckles with 50% condition we would have a 15% chance of critting. A crit, headshot, sneakattack should do somewhere around 160 damage I think, so if you could get the knuckles easy and it killed him in one hit it would be worth doing

I knew about those commands, it's funny if you set your speed so high you die from fall damage anytime you press a button.
Did you try sniper rifle to kill benny? Sniper rifle can be found at mccarran on your way to strip. Taking rifle will cost about 5-10 seconds.

Recorded some interesting stuff. There's a pretty big "post" as a description. Though it would be better to discuss things here.
Small shortcut. You dont need to speek with Khans, you only need move little forward after descovering Khans camp.
Just tested killing benny in casino triggering alarm for guards. After this ->yes man->visiting tribes->killing house. Yes man was NOT standing in front of the tops. Something else trigger yes man.

maybe you just have to have house dead for a while before he comes out. So benny, kill house, tribes might work. neat that you don't need to talking to any khans

Oh, nice.

Maybe it's swank that triggers yes man standing in front of the tops. Every time I was killing benny in casino, I talked to swank beforehand.

Maybe you're right. As for me, I always do (and did) like that - kill house after benny and then work with tribes.
Just tested. Talked to Swank at tops to get access to benny room. Then go to benny room, talked to yes man, killed benny down in casino. Yes man was standing in front of casino.
Killing benny is one shot from sniper rifle. Only body guards are problem.
Ok, i got this.
Completing quest to search benny room from Swank trigger yes man standing in front of tops. You can kill benny in sleep or in casino - no difference.

You can kill house right after taking platinum chip, but visiting BOS only possible after talking to yes man (or lockpicking very hard lock).

This is a first part of my practice run. Surely it looks a lot like error1's, because we use pretty much the same route, but I recorded it to make sure all of you know what I'm doing, and that way it can be easier to come up with new ideas. You're welcome as always.

Looks mighty fine, a few minor things
SDA timing starts when you gain control of your character, so I don't think the first quicksave saves any time.
Quick saves cost half a second in sda time but autosaves are free, so in a real run cutting down the number of segments that start with an quick save saves time.
I question if it's quicker to do gemoria and house back to back, it seems like it would be less walking to do gemoria on the way back
obviously you don't need to talk to victor at then end there
At the end of your video, you can save couple of seconds if you first kill house, then go outside, and visit gomorrah on your way back. Just shorter way.
When you spoke to yes man you took one unnecessary dialog option what cost you like 4 seconds.

Ok, thank you, I'll consider that. Forgot about autosaves also. Good thing they are free.

I was quite unlucky to have him following me all the way to lucky 38. And I couldn't skip him after gomorrah either. Maybe I can skip him if I visit gomorrah later, yes. Maybe not.

Maybe you're right, but I am not sure this can bring me an advantage of couple of seconds.

Oh. I wasn't quite sure that dialog option is unnecessary. And was too lazy to test. Such a bad approach, I know Smiley
