Don't get me wrong but I'm getting the feeling that you want to rush this thing. Yesterday you got a 2:41:03 (Which I haven't watched yet, I'm about to) and talked about submitting, then 1 day later you get a 2:40:09 and talked about submitting. Seems to me you need to hammer on it a bit longer if you're shaving off time that quickly.

he has a slight edge on me i play on the 360 so i have to switch discs. it looks like the pc version has faster load times too.
the mouse also gives him a big edge with aiming and camera.
i will say he has a more skilled run but he has to deal with less ammo and use time using tricks with kinesis that in the end causes our times to be really similar.

I think that i will be able to get a sub 2:20.00 run fairly soon on a NG+ Casual run. Hopefully i can get a run recorded to submit. Also, what weapons do youse use for your speedruns? I use the Hand Cannon, The Detonator and the forcegun.
Edit. Also, in an old speed run of this game that i did, i encountered this glitch in the Ishimura http://www.twitch.tv/livinglooneybin/c/1939446 It saved a few minutes as I was able to run through the Decontamination room, hopefully, can find a way to repeat this glitch.

we use the hand cannon only to determine the best possible time, once obtained the goal is approach a run to the record with hand cannon. I had not heard of anyone really interested in run the game using this weapon until now, this kind of game are something special, all runs have been rejected so far, I hope that we can soon break that curse of Dead Space games.
I really believe that osey889 can pass the verifiers verdict since hi is playing with standar weapons and single segmented run and TheVoid is really good too, I think it's just a matter of time before one of these games eventually be posted on this site

dead space 1 and 2 are what i pride myself on being able to speed run with any real good times, i play on the xbox 360 so naturally my time will be slower then the pc version. After losing my capture card for a few months i took a break from DS. I have played some lately to see if my skill are up to par. if anyone has any questions of what i do differently for a new game single segment contact me anytime. my PB is 2:40:00 but i think 2:38:00 is possible.
I got my first deathless run and it very well for the most part. 2:29:39 single segment new game with manual timing. i am still not ready to submit because a runner named looneybin let me know of a couple of new game + tricks that i can use with the line gun to save another 15 secs. plus this run needs some polishing in the first half that was kinda ugly to watch. i hope to knock off 1 more minute. oh and #IHATEPUKERS!!!!
everyone hates pukers lol. It was a really good run and i think with the tricks we looked at plus some good luck with enemy's you can easily save at least a minute and a half.
Edit: also Osey, if you could do an explained run at some point i would love to check it out and start running ng aswell as ng+.

well last night i recorded a run with 2:27:48. it was so close to being a perfect run until i screwed up the final boss, darn pack hit me and messed up my aim. I did for the first time ever skip the second stalker in chapter 5 that saved over a 1min 30 secs. i would love to submit but the fact that its not a deathless run annoys me. so i want to keep trying till i get one thats deathless and i skip the second stalker room. this is going to be a thing.
Congrats on the record, You gave me the record beating hype after i heard and i beat my ng+ record for a time of 2:13:03 RTA. It still doesn't please me, as i was got knocked off the hack in the second stalker room, died in chapter 14 and got grabbed twice in chapter 15, but i probably will be done with ng+ for now at least.
hi, i'm running zealot and hardcore mode, I have seen that sometimes a single Runner publishes multiple runs of the same game
but on diferent cattegories and as are accepted, also have rejected. in mi case: what happen if i get less time in hardcore than the zealot mode?
obviously this is easier.
Is the zealot run obsolete? or just by being in different difficulties don't compete in record time and the both runs can be accepted?

Well, i was messing around in dead space 2, and i have found a few places where you can boost in a similar fashion to dead space 3 boosts. They are incredibly small, but appear not to be affected by either facing forward or backward, additionally, they are all useless, and im pretty sure there isn't really anywhere in dead space 2 where boosting would be useful, as almost the whole game is set inside.
I also did a few minutes of testing Zero G clipping, couldn't find anything though, doesn't mean its not possible, only tested one area and i didst test it very thoroughly

i was testing the zeroGcip too, but nothing up to now.. inside the ship there's no much places to go and I've used the checkpoint on almost all.
I really think that to do a skip is neccesary go through a new wall after the clip but seems impossible without see
