i just got a time today of 3:08 single segment new game on casual. i plan to try to get sub 2:50. i have the run recorded on twitch. if you want proof. http://www.justin.tv/osey889
Awesome. I've been watching for a few minutes, and it's exciting to see someone putting some effort into this game (I'll have to stop watching soon, because I have to return to my studies, but it's been fun to watch so far). I've beaten both Dead Space games, and while they aren't my favorite survival horror games, I'm anxious to see either of them represented on SDA. Keep up the good work - Dead Space 2 is NOT an easy game to run.
[Btw to the admins: someone needs to change the name of the thread to just "Dead Space 2" since most of that junk is outdated]
EDIT: God, the amount of crap this game throws at you is insane.
EDIT2: D'oh! Splattered in one of those flying-through-space sequences. Those things would be murder to single segment attempts.
I didn't catch the whole stream, but how much lower do you realistically expect to go from 2:56:30? It seems that the segmented guys were talking around 2:30:00 ish.
EDIT: The part of your run I saw was pretty solid. Probably no more than 5 min of mistakes maybe, including two or three deaths. Good job so far
this was a tough time for me to get but i think this worthy of watching. if anyone knows how to download videos or record over a video on twitch let me know.
ok i'll just have to capture the recording with Ulead movie maker that came with my capture card. sadly i can't run it with xsplit running. i'll see what how lucky i'll be with the off stream run.
Please post a quality test in the Tech Support forum before you begin serious attempts. Read this to see what you have to do. One of the main principles of this site is to have high quality archives and so it's good to make sure your recordings are done right the first time.
Best of luck, too.
If you want to record and stream, you may try checking out AmarecTV. It will let you record to your hard drive and output to Xsplit for streaming at the same time. If you use that program, I'd recommend using http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html for your codec.
sadly its not much of a program issue, as is its just my laptop not being powerful enough to both stream and record decent video and audio. For now its either one or the other.
New Record! 2:41:03!!!!! and i got it recorded. i'll be showing the video on twitch where i'll explain the incredible luck i got. streaming the video now. http://www.twitch.tv/osey889
DUDE AWESOME. I can't believe I wasn't watching the one time you got a submittable run! Lol
Wow you trimmed ANOTHER five minutes? Do tell! (i would watch right now but I'm going to be out of action for the next four or five days, starting tomorrow morning, so I gotta get ready)
