Awesome.  I've been watching for a few minutes, and it's exciting to see someone putting some effort into this game (I'll have to stop watching soon, because I have to return to my studies, but it's been fun to watch so far).  I've beaten both Dead Space games, and while they aren't my favorite survival horror games, I'm anxious to see either of them represented on SDA.  Keep up the good work - Dead Space 2 is NOT an easy game to run.

[Btw to the admins:  someone needs to change the name of the thread to just "Dead Space 2" since most of that junk is outdated]

EDIT:  God, the amount of crap this game throws at you is insane.

EDIT2:  D'oh!  Splattered in one of those flying-through-space sequences.  Those things would be murder to single segment attempts.

EDIT 3:  Lol, I may just leave this on while I study.

EDIT 4: Ugh, I hated that laser grid room.  I dunno why.  I think I had absolutely no health packs at the time, actually.

EDIT 5:  Lol oh christ, the eye drilling part.  Good luck

EDIT 6:  Damn nice run, at least from the last 25% or so that i saw
new best single segment time casual difficulty. 2:56:30. going to try again in a few if anyone wants to see.

Damn, nice work ethic.  I'll keep it up, watching when I can.

Btw, that's cool how your stream tracks your segment progress like that.  Is that a feature of Twitch or is that something you came up with yourself?
its a program called w-split its not a twitch thing. i am getting more used to it now.

Oh, cool.  Good to know.

I didn't catch the whole stream, but how much lower do you realistically expect to go from 2:56:30?  It seems that the segmented guys were talking around 2:30:00 ish.

EDIT:  The part of your run I saw was pretty solid.  Probably no more than 5 min of mistakes maybe, including two or three deaths.  Good job so far
i think a realistic time would be sub 2:50. i died alot late game.

p.s. i start a new run in five mins. i want some water and munchies.

Ok cool.  Unofficial goal of between 2:45:00 and 2:50:00 then, I'd say.

For those who wanna watch, here's link again:    http://www.twitch.tv/osey889

EDIT:  streaming live again!
i am starting another run right now. that sub 2:50 will be mine!!

This has always worked for me when trying to download flash things.
thanks for the tip. once i get this edited i'll submit this.
Not a walrus
Submitting a twitch recording is not going to be accepted for quality reasons, just fyi.
ok i'll just have to capture the recording with Ulead movie maker that came with my capture card. sadly i can't run it with xsplit running. i'll see what how lucky i'll be with the off stream run.

Please post a quality test in the Tech Support forum before you begin serious attempts. Read this to see what you have to do. One of the main principles of this site is to have high quality archives and so it's good to make sure your recordings are done right the first time. Smiley

Best of luck, too.

If you want to record and stream, you may try checking out AmarecTV. It will let you record to your hard drive and output to Xsplit for streaming at the same time. If you use that program, I'd recommend using http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html for your codec.
sadly its not much of a program issue, as is its just my laptop not being powerful enough to both stream and record decent video and audio. For now its either one or the other.
good news everyone! My new best time is 2:42:43! Bad news everyone! My recording stopped at chapter 13 due to my hard drive being full.
New Record! 2:41:03!!!!! and i got it recorded. i'll be showing the video on twitch where i'll explain the incredible luck i got.
streaming the video now. http://www.twitch.tv/osey889

DUDE AWESOME.  I can't believe I wasn't watching the one time you got a submittable run!  Lol

Wow you trimmed ANOTHER five minutes?  Do tell!  (i would watch right now but I'm going to be out of action for the next four or five days, starting tomorrow morning, so I gotta get ready)
i have my stream up again if anyone want to see the record run.
as much as i would like to email my recording it is much too large. can anyone recommend a way around this?
