We are currently in the planning stages of organizing a charity marathon to help support the victims, the families of the victims, the city, the groups, and the cause, of those impacted or affected by the horrible events that took place here in Florida this past week.
As a Floridian, I feel the need and the desire to give back, and as a gamer and speedrunner, I know that the speedrunning and gaming community is one of the strongest around. We have the ability to make an impact by joining together and doing what we do best.
This will almost certainly be an online marathon due to the difficulty most will have arranging travel on such short notice. A small group of FL runners has been created and we are working on the details as quickly as possible to be able to open submissions and get things rolling. Likely, we will open submissions to everyone, but in the meantime, if anyone from FL (past or present) wishes to join the planning process, please message me or respond to this thread.
