Hey, i just decided to give Livestreaming a try and did read the most FAQ's + got most Help out of the Livestreams.

Now i found a Problem that i can't fix myself or atleast im not able to find a Solution to do tho.

Im Connecting my PS3 / SNES / NES to my Capture Device (Hauppauge Colossus) and want to use Amarectv for the Output, and here my Problems start!

First of all i had an Syntax Error that i Managed to fix by using Google and browsing like 30 Sites, now that i Managed to fix the first Problem there is one Error to go.

After i chose my Capture Device the Program starts up and Freezes like 2-3 Seconds after, i can't even see what he is trying to do.

Hopefully someone is able to help me Solving this Problem.

Best regards

Jawis

Try this: right click on amarec.exe, and on the dropdown menu click on Run As Administrator (assuming you're running either vista/win7/win8). If that works, you can right click on amarec.exe again, click properties on the menu, then on the compatibility tab enable Run As Administrator to always have that feature enabled.

Btw, since you're using Amarec for streaming, 2.20c is the version most of us prefer since it's the only one that can output a 60fps deinterlaced video feed to XSplit/OBS. Every version after it only outputs 30fps max (still deinterlaced though). If you only want to stream at 30 or below then you'll be fine.

Actually, I think 2.31 also does proper 60fps passthrough to OBS (at least it does for me). i think the FPS issues were in versions 2.20+->2.30

As for your freezing problems... does the Hauppauge Colossus even have a directshow driver? I think Amarec only works for devices with driectshow drivers. Those Happauge cards do hardware encoding, which makes it next to impossible to get raw video output unless you screen cap their arcsoft showbiz program...

Of course I dont actually own a Colossus, and this is just off the the research I was doing a while ago when I was shopping around for capture cards.

Hey, first of all Thanks for the Quick Reply!

Tested the 2.20c Version and it looks like i found out what brings the Freeze now.

After i started the Program i forgot to chose the Capture Device and the Program didn't Freeze, now that i Chose my Hauppauge Colossus the Program directly Freezes and i can't do anything.

Hey, it looks like you are right, when i use my Capture Card with Amarec it just Freezes the Program, i just started to use Arcsoft and it works, the only Problem i got is the Delay i get on the Output, looks like i have to change for another Capture Card, hopefully i find someone that wants to buy mine Tongue

Thanks guys, i guess it's time to do some Research and take the best Card that fits my needs.
