Just recently completed doom1/2 (since the 90s) so reading trough this will be interesting..
While this is not a trick, hurting yourself in Phobos for a right amount so you can one-hit suicide is something that could be mentioned.
It's surprising how "2D" the game is in terms of collision, aiming, etc..
