Well, during the very first glitch hunt sessions, we found a huge glitch which we thought required a frame rate control. Basically, we had to stick a wall or any type of physic in the one you could go a little bit inside the texture, grab it and set a very low frame rate (we choose 3). This process makes you fling away at a very high speed. This frame rate control involved to create a special bind in game files to toggled frame rate from 60 to 3 (http://pastebin.com/KY8cy6fV). Some runner begun to route the game using this glitch and we created the category BindFling.
A while after that we realized that this glitch was also possible without frame rate control but with slightest results (this only required to activate V-Sync). So technically Any% can use this fling glitch since it doesn't required any game modification.
The run without fling is a very interesting run, and that's why we kept the Legacy category (without any type of Fling).
I hope that was clear !
