Nearly flawless run - lots of well-placed jumps and almost no mistakes. The only mistake I spotted was when the runner grabbed a ledge twice trying to get out of the pipes, but considering how overly sensitive the game's climbing mechanics are, that's perfectly forgivable.

Verifier: verified sos, easy pass
verifier: only minor mistakes but insane luck
verifier: also nice to see him pick the old man, heh
[00:13] mikwuyma: yeah the only thing I really noticed was getting caught on the pipes two times in a row
verifier: also i'm glad he maxed out his jumping downhill this time, i don't think the youtube vid did that
[00:13] mikwuyma: no it didn't
verifier: the audio cuts out from both channels to left channel only around 4:30
verifier: uh, nothing to say other than that

Verification comments for S.O.S. (SNES, NTSC).
Standard SNES quality for the video/audio.
Everything shown in the run can be done in real-time, so no cheating detected.
The ship is big and difficult to get an overview of, which makes the game very unlinear. As far as my knowledge of this game goes, the route chosen is the fastest one though (and I also believe the runner picked the character that can achieve the fastest time). This is despite having to sit around doing nothing for around 25 seconds waiting for the ship to tilt. The gameplay is pretty much optimized. I can spot two easily recognizable execution mistakes. The first one is about 2.53 in the video, where it looked like Jeffrey got an identity crisis and started to hump a wall in the pipe area. At 3.36, Jeffrey stopped for no obvious reason. A slip on the D-pad or because Jeffrey is an old man and needed a break ? These two mistakes should account for about 2.5 seconds lost. One might argue that a run this short and with no enemies should be virtually flawless. However, performing intricate platforming acrobatics with clunky controls à la "Out of This World" has to count for something.
Verdict : Provided noone knows of a better route, I have no problem accepting this run.
