Painkiller - Heaven's Got A Hitman, version 1.64, finished on trauma dificulty in 67 minutes, 22 seconds by Arthur "Artas1984" Lozovskis. Date of speedrun is 2011.02.08.

This is an individual level run. Videos are 800X600 pixels, 25 FPS, except boss levels are 1024x768 pixels.

The goal was to finally release the original Painkiller speedrun, using the newest and most modern shortcuts and also to beat the original 2006 RJ19 speedrun, which did not go to SDA, unfortunately, mainly because of the low video format in 320x240 pixels and the fact that chapter 5 is unavailable in trauma and a cheat-script program was used to unlock it. Some of my speedruns have been beaten already and there are still a few modern shortcuts left, which i was not able to execute (mainly due to FPS requirements), so i will be looking FW for new releases, perhaps a full Nightmare run with 23 levels by someone else. Originally i wanted this to be a common run shared between me and The Void, but later he declined, so now i am actually glad (lol).

Here are the times for each level

Cemetery - 2:03 (completed in 2011.01.21)
Atrium Complex - 2:22 (completed in 2011.01.26)

If you'd like to know how the speedrun has been improved since 2006 RJ19 speedrun, here is a chart:

Welcome to the Future !
i'm just amazed... I'm glad to see that more and more improvements can be done on this game.
Painkiller is not a very know game, but you can be sure you have some fans, 'cause i'm one of them.

One more time, congratulations to RJ19 and you !

Pain Killer was great fun, if a little repetitive. This is pretty awesome work. Excellent job.

It has been a long time since Painkiller has been in the market, but only now we have reached the knowledge, skill and database to show it's full potential. In the the early ears Painkiller was very popular, and if all those fans from 2004 and 2005 returned to see how now the game has evolved, their jaws would drop on the floor.

I have a City On Water speedrun in my server, which is done on nightmare difficulty and is not included in SDA speedrun.

SDA may allow speedruns on any difficulty, but there was an agreed rule in Painkiller forums among veteran members, particularly initiated by the legendary Kalme, RJ19 and me, that real competitive speedruns must be done either on trauma or nightmare difficulties and without tarot cards, except for the special "boss time attack challenges", which are done with tarot cards on trauma difficulty.
Even "Painkiller Done Chopped" challenge, which did not go to SDA because of demo files, i have done on trauma difficulty. So it would a shame if someone would dare to defile the game and make a speedrun on insomnia.
I AM FUCKED ANGRY
Artas1984, many thanks for your work on this run and recording videos.

It is a long time ago I had play this game, but this game was very good. I have also a Pre-Alpha build version which containing 3 of the 24 solo missions.

I had read also your topic for the game Necrovision. Make the best for a good run. Thank you Smiley
