Edit - Fixed it. Had to upgrade to Pro.
Oh hai thur. I know some of you guys are just uber "1337" with all this codec stuff so i will ask here.
Im gonna use fraps to capture from pSX emulator and a 1 min 42 sec clip was 1.71gb.
I know i have to use virtualdub to cut down the size using this method,
Select File->Open and choose the AVI in the Fraps directory you wish to compress.
Select Video->Compression and choose the codec you wish to compress with (usually divx)
Select File->Save As AVI and specify a filename for the new AVI.
I thought of using the divx 6.8 codec as it seems the best. However, this is when it gets errors. if i select the divx codec and click save as avi, i get a "Video Compression error: The source image format is not acceptable"
Any ideas?
What config should i be using for the 6.8 codec?
I also see there is a "Fraps Video Decompresser" but that gives me error "Unable to initialise the output video codec. Check that the video codec is compatible with the output video frame size and that the settings are correct, or try a different one"
