Segmented Realistic difficulty run

Verifier Responses

Quote:
There were no problems with video, audio, syncing, or cheating.

This is a very impressive run. It uses many skips including a number that are very difficult. The keyboard and mouse movements are extremely precise and optimized. There are no mistakes of consequence.

Recommendation: Accept

Execution is of same high quality than the previous run.
A lot of time is saved by skipping infolinks.
And the route is sometimes slighty different and faster.
No mistakes that costs more than a second.

That's how the runner saved 8 min on the old 26 min run !!
Too bad the duplicate item glitch hadn't been found when the runnner start this run.

Recommandation : ACCEPT for good improvement and strong execution.

Solid enough run; all the problems I could find with it are noted in
the commentary, and no cheating spotted beyond the usual "crate +
player = airplane" stuff. Since AFAICT, there are no audio/visual
problems, I'll say "Accept".

Decision: Accept

Congratulations to Nathaniel 'NMS' Stalberg!

Thanks for verifying. I'm looking forward to seeing it posted (although I'm still waiting on Ares, so it may be a while).

I don't think item duplication would have saved any time, actually. Speed enhancement is really the only critical aug in a segmented run. Cloak is nice, but with luck I was able to basically ignore the enemies whether or not they could see me. I thought having cloak from the start of Mako Biolab might have allowed some infolink or dialog skips, but it doesn't seem to help. If I were running this at a marathon, I'd definitely want cloak and thermal masking, and maybe regen.

I do wish I'd realized that right click also speeds through conversations though. Even a couple frames per line would add up to a lot of time. And blocking the door in Tarsus Rec with a broom would have been cool.

I guess I should edit and encode some outtakes.
