Haters gonna hate
I only now have started thinking about perlers for the marathon, so this thread is perfect timing!

I haven't really thought about what I'm going to work on yet, but two definite ones:

3D Sophia perler for Blaster Master. I'm going to give this a fighting chance. I heard horror stories about how difficult it is to make, but I'm going to do it somehow.

Earthbound: I have a ton planned for this game because it's the best RPG in the universe. A couple planned are Dungeon Man and Flying Man. Who knows...I might do Mr. T Guy again!!! :O

Castlevania 1: I have a perler of Simon and Holy Water already made. I could offer those.

I'll post more when I think of more.

EDIT: PJ came up with the brilliant idea of a Missingno perler for Pokemon Red/Blue, so I'm going to try that out.

welcome to the machine
I went digging through my closet a month or two back and found a stash of the old sonic archie comics.  I'm putting up the first 50 issues and a few other one-ofs (most notably sonic live) as a prize.  Condition ranges from good at the end all the way through terrible in the first few issues (I was like 6 or something when the first ones came out, please forgive the scribbles and just be glad all the pages are still there and legible).
Sea of Green
Thanks, guys; first post updated.

Mecha Richter: That Missingno perler sounds fantastic. I also would love to win a Mr. T guy perler! (I'd probably give it to my sister, she loves Mr. T. ;D)
I want the kirby plush, the yoshi hat, and the ratatta bumper sticker. You'll be seeing a few donations from me this time around. And if it will be a Red/Blue donation war, I'm bidding on Blue, blue was awesome back in the day.

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Earlier this year, a guy who wants remain anonymous sent me an email saying that he had a bunch of games lying around that he'd like to donate for a good cause, and he ended up shipping a lot of valuable games.

List of games

pokemon red cart with all 151 pokemon legit

Guardian's Crusade psx

Legend of Dragoon psx

Raycrisis psx

Blaster Master Blasting Again psx

Alundra psx w/ map

Klonoa psx (mostly mint except there's a price sticker on the front)

Shilouette Mirage psx

Vagrant Story psx w/ collector's cd (demos)

Legend of Legaia psx no manual

Wild Arms psx

Earthbound w/ strategy guide and box!

Japanese saturn games

Thunder Force V

Lunar (I'm not sure which one, I'll look at it later)

Shining Force III volume 2 Japanese saturn (sealed!!)

Sakura Taisen 3 for Dreamcast

So yeah, we have a lot of games. Obviously the Pokemon Red and Earthbound will go toward their respective games as a prize, and Earthbound is definitely a 10 dollar buy-in (or maybe even more) prize. I've tested the Earthbound cartridge and the save battery still works on it, but I still need to test the Pokemon cart. I'm thinking the PSX and Saturn rpgs can be a prize to go with FF7, though we might want to do something special with Shining Force 3 volume 2 since it's an import-only rpg that's sealed, so that has to be worth a lot.

I'm sure a couple of the games could be used for the random game grab-bag too. A game like Klonoa and/or Silhouette Mirage would make it a lot more enticing.

I also have a Dracula X cart that Zenic sent me last year as a prize. That could easily be a prize for the old-school Castlevania block.

A guy with the name Yakumo on the forums is making some perlers for the next AGDQ already. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v143/bvh18/Perlers/AGDQ/

I know there was a guy interested in doing some metal work for the next agdq, I should contact him again.

Hey guys.  I'm not normally a member of the community here but I've been watching the marathons for a while now and I wanted to help out.  Looks like Uyama's already linked to the perlers I've put together so far(sorry about the quality, cell phone camera), and I'm certainly happy to put some more together for a good cause.

I'm open to suggestion for other perlers to make, I don't have anything specific in mind yet.  I've just been looking at the game list and making things that seem interesting.  These are just a hobby for me, though, I don't know how to make anything crazy like the 3D Sophia.  I usually stick with NES level stuff since the colors are easy but with a little time to make adjustments I could do some 16 bit stuff too.

If you don't feel like browsing the pictures, so far I have Chip and Dale mugshots for Rescue Rangers, Nasir from Lagoon, the guy from Bad Street Brawler fighting a gorilla, Mega Man, the Bionic Commando(I guess technically it's Rad Spencer now but this is the NES sprite), Raccoon Mario from SMB3, Medusa from Castlevania, Iji, a set of enemies from the first Zelda, and chibi Ryu from the sound test mode of Ninja Gaiden 2.
Is PJ
<3 that Nasir perler!

List of awesome games.

That is quite a list indeed. I agree with putting some of those uncommon games in a grab bag along with whatever else was going in there (common but good games? a few real stinkers?)
Waiting hurts my soul...
I might make some prizes. Been thinking of trying perlers out, and possibly a small sculpture, but I'm still working on those skills. I'll wait to see what games aren't getting much love in the way of prizes.
Fucking Weeaboo
I would put up the signed Castlevania DXC game during SOTN, since that's included in DXC.

P.S. Patrick Seitz (pronounced like "Sights") is totally awesome.
Sea of Green
Thanks all, first post updated. Smiley I added a "Games" section because it seems like we're giving a ton of those away this time.

Yakumo: I want those Zelda perlers so bad I can taste it!

Zenic: When you have a more concrete plan of what you'll make, I'll add your prizes to the list. Thanks for offering. Smiley

Sir VG: Thanks, I wasn't sure where would be best to give that away. Updated accordingly.
I'm mentioning this again so nobody forgets it. If I can somehow come up with some funds to acquire it, an N64 copy of Majora's Mask will be added to this bundle (read: not likely; I need to make sure I can pay rent from November on). If I do get it, I'll let you guys know.
Exoray
Are we limiting the grabage bag to a certain amount of consoles or do we want to go all widespread?
I still have two NTSC genesis games in my possession that I'm unable to play so could definitely add those to the pile.
Sea of Green
Lenophis: Awesome, added. Also, is that CD for a specific Zelda game? I couldn't make out any text under the main Zelda logo, and I want to be as accurate as possible.

moooh: I don't see why we shouldn't have the grabage (heh) bag be widespread consoles. Tell me the games and I'll add them. Smiley
Exoray
Cool!
The games are:
Asterix and the Great Rescue
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure

My parents bought them for me when being over in the US, not realizing it wouldn't work on my PAL console. I've kept them since, figured I'd find a good use for them someday Smiley
Sea of Green
Added your games. I have to say I am really fond of the grab/garbage thing. XD

Suggestion for Blaster Master: Jason Helmet or Frog Plush.

Also, is that CD for a specific Zelda game?

Yeah, it's an OoT CD. It has 24 songs, and the CD is still in great shape.

Updated.

UraniumAnchor: I added the hat or plush to the list, but depending on which games have many prizes, I may or may not make it. That's the case for most of the knitted things, actually. I'm only one woman. Wink

A Shambler for Quake! They're always trying to hug you anyways.

Oh man. That'd be pretty great, hahaha.

ETA: I really have a problem with overextending myself, and adding more plushies/hats past this point just means I have more to cut in a few months. From this point on, I can't take any more plush or hat suggestions. I appreciate that people like my work this much, but I really won't be able to make 25+ plushies and hats in a month.
Terribleno, if you want, I have a gold cartridge hologram Majora's Mask that I own from somewhere.  I have to test to see if it works, but I dont see why I cant add it to your zelda stack there.  Also, Im looking to see if I have the bonus disc to FFVII International.  The main discs should work, but they've been through quite a bit of travel from japan/states/moving.
Balls jerky
Hey, MZ. The Lunar games would be for Sega CD unless they're the 'Complete' versions which could either be PSX or Japanese Saturn. I'd leave it open until Mike checks.

So many games I want. I'll be awake and donating nonstop for this marathon I think.
